The Best Fit : A Series Celebrating Best Friendships as Comfortable as Your Favorite Pair of Jeans | Meet Larissa and Jaycee

Nothing is more romantic than a pair of galentines. We interviewed a handful of best friends for our Galentine's Day series, exploring friendships as comfortable and cozy as your favorite pair of jeans.

Meet Larissa and Jaycee: They each knew they'd met The One when they laughed their way through an early-aughts stoner classic film then sealed the deal with a trip to the thrift store afterwards. In a sea of Hollywood fakes and flakes, these two stood the test of time – and the test of sitting in traffic to show up for one another's events.

From vintage shopping to girl's trips to France, these two gal pals know how to show up for each other and help each other grow.

Tell us about the moment you knew you knew you were meant to be besties ?

Larissa (L): When we watched Smiley Face (2007) stoner film starring Anna Farris, together at the New Beverly Theatre in 35mm and couldn't stop laughing the entire time. We went thrifting after and I knew that day we were bonded for life!

JayCee (JC): I invited her to a show of mine and she ACTUALLY went. LA is full of the kind of people who will tell you, “omg, sure! I’d love to go to your performance,” and then flake. But Larissa will come to your show, take incredible photos, and scream the loudest. She’s the ultimate girl’s girl.

What was your first impression of each other?

L: She's hilarious and so stylish, how can I spend more time with this really cool girl?!

JC: I thought, “Wow, she’s super down to earth and ALSO gorgeous and a powerhouse?!? You really can have it all.”

Describe your bestie’s personal style.

L: Earthy fairy with a vintage twist!

JC: Sometimes Mod and incredibly vibrant color-wise but also sometimes BRAT-coded cyclist core.

You’re dressing your bestie in EDWIN - curate that outfit, what is she wearing?

L: The Kali Ankle Patchwork Jean in Windsor paired with the Classic Tank top in Off White

JC: The Manhattan Wide Leg Jean in Bennet paired with the Crew Tee in Off White

Celebrating Best Friendships: Meet Larissa and Jaycee in The Best Fit

What would your Galentine’s Day gift to your bestie be?

L: A gift card to her favorite vintage store!

JC: A ranch full of rescued farm animals and ample space for more.

What does your bestie REALLY want for Valentine’s Day?

L: An endless supply of vegan sweet treats, specifically pastries!

JC: A trip to Madonna Inn!

What’s next for this dynamic duo?

L: I'm really excited to travel to France together this spring with a bunch of our girlfriends as a big girl's trip! We did a lot of traveling together last year and I'm excited to make more special memories together with our friends!

JC: We’re really going to take on the world together—I feel like I grow so much as a person when I’m around her. She keeps me humble and makes me laugh, so wherever we go, it’ll be worth it.
